The Browser Lock extension is a tool that allows you to lock your browser to prevent unauthorised access. This can be particularly useful for safeguarding your browsing activity or ensuring privacy when stepping away from your device.
Features of Browser Lock:
1.
Protect your browser with a
password.
2.
Easy to activate and deactivate
as needed.
3. Prevents unauthorised
users from accessing your open tabs, browsing history or Mail ID.
How to Install Browser Lock:

3. Add to Chrome:

4. Start setup and
creating Account:

Create your account by entering your first name,
last name, email address, and Password.
5. Set Up a
Password:
When creating an account, the extension will ask
you to create a browser password. Make sure it is a password that you can
remember but is secure.
Then Click on Register.
6. Email
Verification (Optional):
If you verify your email ID, the email will help
you reset your password if you forget your password.
7. Finalization
and testing:
After creating
an account and setting a password, the setup process is completed once the
email is verified. When we close the browser and reopen it, if we select the
profile for which the password was set, we will need to enter the password.
Once the password is entered, the profile will open normally.
If we have not
set a password on a profile, it opens normally without requiring a password.
Notes:
Ensure you remember the password
you set; otherwise, you may lose access to your locked browser.
Always download extensions from
the official Chrome Web Store to avoid security risks.
